ArcaMax.com is a digital publisher that focuses on syndicated content like news, comics, and lifestyle columns, receiving between 20 to 30 million pageviews every month, mainly from the U.S. The site was already generating solid revenue, but there was clear potential to earn even more. Their ads weren’t optimized by device type which was leading to lower performance. On top of that, the publisher was relying on multiple ad networks that failed to provide high-value, premium demand. Their main goals were to implement better ad optimization for each device and to bring in better, higher-paying demand which outperforms their existing networks.
Solution
We partnered with ArcaMax to build a smarter ad strategy that focused on optimizing ads for each device separately. This helped us to show the right ads in the right format, depending on the user’s device type.
As the Increase Rev team analyzed the site’s performance data, we discovered that a huge portion of the website’s traffic came from the comics section, which wasn’t being fully monetized to its potential and was overlooked by previous ad partners. Recognizing this opportunity, we brought in related advertisers and aggressively pursued direct deals tailored to that section. These targeted efforts helped secure higher CPMs and stronger engagement.
To keep things running smoothly, we assigned a Dedicated Account Manager who held weekly calls with the ArcaMax team to review performance, share insights, and implement new optimizations. This included doing daily checks on ad performance, adjusting strategies in real time, and optimizing to make sure revenue stayed strong.
Results
After partnering with Increase Rev, ArcaMax saw a 55% increase in both CPM and total ad revenue compared to what they earned from previous ad networks. Increase Rev quickly became the top-performing source of demand for their traffic as we solved two of their major issues: poor ad targeting across devices and lack of premium demand. Our content-aware, data-driven approach to monetization significantly improved their revenue.
